Meghan Scanlon totaled 572.5kg. Elliott Sykes totaled 832.5kg. Both went 9-for-9, taking the women’s and men’s overall wins at Rising Tide in Philadelphia.

Meghan finished with a 210kg squat, 140kg bench press, and 222.5kg deadlift. Her 572.5kg total earned 118.99 IPF GL points and the top women’s result.
She added weight on every attempt. Three successful squats put 210kg on the board, followed by a clean run through the bench press. On deadlifts, she opened at 202.5kg and finished 20kg heavier.

In her Instagram recap, Meghan focused on having her daughters there to share the experience. They had spent hours in the gym with her throughout the summer, and she described the trophy as something they had earned alongside her.

Elliott squatted 310kg, benched 197.5kg, and deadlifted 325kg for an 832.5kg total and 120.96 IPF GL points.
His squat attempts climbed from 282.5kg to 310kg. He then completed all three benches before taking his deadlift from a 292.5kg opener to 325kg on his final pull. Every attempt counted.

Elliott’s own assessment was more demanding than the placing suggests. He felt the performance fell short of his standards, yet called Rising Tide his favorite meet he had ever done. He credited the event crew, family, and friends who came to support him for making the experience mean so much.

Welcome to the team, Daana Parra.

We’ve signed Daana Parra to the Notorious Lift athlete roster. Representing Mexico, she joins us as a two-time IPF junior world champion, with titles in two weight classes.
At the 2026 Worlds in South Africa, she totaled 545kg: a 197.5kg squat, 132.5kg bench press, and 215kg deadlift.

At her latest Worlds, Daana missed her second squat at 197.5kg, then made the same weight on her third. She followed that recovery with three successful benches and three successful deadlifts, finishing 8-for-9 with the title.
